Our first social supermarket launched in 2022 at Russell Street Community Centre in NR2 and the opening hours are: from 4-6pm on Mondays, 5-7pm Tuesdays, 11am-1pm Wednesdays, 1-3pm Thursdays and from 9-11am on Fridays.
The supermarket provides a range of food products, including fresh and frozen produce, as well as household essentials, all at highly discounted prices. We are aware that many people are struggling with rising food prices, and this is one practical way we are able to help. In the first two weeks of opening, more than 80 households registered to use the supermarket and take advantage of the opening offers. We have now almost 400 households registered.
