“I gained confidence and I learnt transferable skills such as presentation and time management.”

“I think it common amongst every human being to under estimate the difference you make in someone’s life. Like everyone in life I have had my fair share of hurt and at times I felt alone with my thoughts but throughout the years ENYP provided me with a sense of safety, togetherness and what it’s really like to be part of a family. I was given many opportunities as a person to grow in confidence and gain leadership skills. They helped shape me into the person I am today and I thank you for that. Years have passed since I last saw them but recently got back in contact all I can say is it felt like home. Like I was reunited with my family after all those years. I know it’s not only me whose life you made a difference in but each one of the young peoples whose path you have crossed. Now 10 years on you continue with the hard work and continue to make a difference to everyone around you.”

For years ENYP was a significant part of my childhood and transition into adolescence. I started attending Dance Off! when I was about 10. I think what I am most grateful for in being part of the Dance Off! family was having the chance to lead and teach younger groups. My confidence flourished under with the support of everyone who helped out in the classes. It was also brilliant to work with different age ranges, which I experienced through volunteering at Equip during some of the school holidays. Overall, my time at ENYP was enriching, supportive and hilarious (I think there were times particularly in Dance Off! where we laughed just as much as we danced!) so I can’t really express how thankful I am for the brilliant years I had with you all.

“ENYP was a saviour through my teenage years. The team helped me grow, believe in myself and continue down a path that i love”
